American Dream WalkOur 4th Annual American Dream Walk is coming again this September. A great day of fundraising, fun, and advocacy, this event features a walk, a community BBQ. You can choose which project the funds you raise will benefit. Funds raised in San Fernando will help construct 12 new homes on Cobalt Street in Sylmar. Funds raised in Santa Clarita will go to the SCV Habitat for Heroes project, a program to provide housing assistance to veterans and their families in the Santa Clarita Valley.

March 2013

buildersball1The annual Habitat for Humanity SF/SCV Builders Ball brings together community leaders in the corporate, political, and philanthropic community to honor colleagues who share their passion about the importance of affordable housing and services for our low-income working and veteran neighbors.

Each year we present the Hammer of Hope Award to distinguished individuals who have helped forward Habitat’s mission to lift working families out of an endless cycle of poverty housing so they can build brighter economic futures. See Our 2011 Event Video.

We BuildGrab your friends, gal groups, daughters and moms! May 2013, women from all walks of life will raise some noise as we raise our hammers to build homes for needy veteran families and widows of the fallen. The San Fernando/Santa Clarita Habitat for Humanity WE (Women Empowerment) Build has helped to construct more than 220 houses in our community. Join as we raise this new neighborhood from the ground with our own hands. No experience necessary If you don’t have any construction skills, don’t worry! Many women come to Women Build sites with no construction skills at all and still make a great impact. Training is provided.
