SCV Habitat for Heroes Youth United program mobilizes young people to fund and build homes with their local Santa Clarita Habitat for Humanity affiliate while learning how to advocate for veteran’s housing needs and assisting with events and community outreach activities. Youths learn leadership and teamwork skills, and gain a better understanding of their community and returning veteran families. Our Campus Chapters are entirely student organized and funded. All Campus Chapter members must engage in four core activities: advocacy, education, fundraising, and building/refurbishing homes (activities for students under 16 are available).
Current Chapters in Santa Clarita:
Bowman High School
Saugus High School
Valencia High School
West Ranch High School

Our competitive internship program starts every Fall, Spring and Summer, and lasts for three to four months. Participants are encouraged to develop their skills and utilize creativity in the areas of urban planning, marketing, sustainable & green building, social media, family & volunteer services, and more!
